Titanium Rod, Comercial Grade 2
These titanium (Ti) Rods are high quality and high purity (commercial grade 2). Each rod is 11" in length with a 1/8" diameter and comes in packs of 1 to 10.
Titanium rods may be a valuable addition to your collection of metals.
Titanium is as strong as steel, but 45% lighter. It is 60% heavier than aluminum, but twice as strong. It is an important as an alloying agent with aluminum, molybdenum, manganese, iron and other metals. Alloys of titanium are principally used for aircraft and missiles where lightweight strength and ability to withstand extremes of temperature are important.
These rods are perfect for science experiments, collection, or functional use. Do to the high strength of titanium, these rods are perfect to experiments dealing with strength tests.
